CA II and CA III- DG EAC

A reserve list of contractual agent candidates in FG II - secretary: administrative support/finances and FG III - Assistant with a legal, communication, financial, policy or programme management profile is being set up to reinforce the two existing CA II and CA III pools.
Candidates preselected on the basis of their CV (level of studies, work experience, knowledge in the field, languages) will be invited to a panel for oral and written assessment. R1 will select the 20 best candidates in FG II and FG III.
Being placed on a reserve list does not guarantee recruitment as a contractual agent.
R1 will recruit staff from the reserve lists as required. The whole DG may use these “floating” staff members to replace other colleagues (on maternity, parental, illness, long-term leave or on other types of leave).
Any candidate recruited will be offered a contract of one year (renewable according to the needs of the DG and budget availability).
Basic competencies, common to FG II and FG III:

1- Service-minded and able to work in a team
2- Good written and oral communication
3- As DG EAC works mainly in EN and FR, an excellent knowledge, written as well as oral, of one of these languages is essential. Competency in the second would be desirable. Additional languages would be an asset.
4- Capacity to work in a structured, proactive and autonomous way
5- Flexibility and adaptability to new working environments
6- Capacity to analyse and problem solve.
Please note:
Prerequisites for candidates: you must be a member of EU 28; have passed a CAST CA II or III (EPSO) or be an AMI candidate (call for expression of interest (appel à Manifestation d'Intérêt): via EU CV online).
Travel expenses will not be reimbursed when invited to the panel. Candidates may only apply for one category (CA II or CA III). Candidates in FG III may apply for a maximum of three profiles.
Please send your application (CV with AMI candidate number or CAST CA II or CA III CV with your letter of motivation indicating the function group and your chosen profiles) to the functional mailbox according to your chosen category: EAC AC POOL II and EAC AC POOL III.
Deadline: Thursday, 4 June 2015 (noon). Panels are foreseen for CA II in the second half of June 2015 and for CA III in the second half of September 2015.
